Many followers messaged me about a large police presence on the Salem x Methuen Border. Salem Police and Methuen Police were assisting Massachusetts State Police with a foot pursuit.

Methuen PD posted the following:

“At approximately 1121 hours, Massachusetts State Police stopped a motor vehicle in the area of I93 and Route 213 earlier today. One male occupant with two active warrants fled from the motor vehicle and headed through the swamp north towards Salem, NH. Multiple MSP units, including the MSP Air Wing, Methuen Police Officers and units from Salem, NH canvassed the area around Hampshire Road. The suspect was eventually spotted by members of the Methuen Drone Unit in the swamp to the west of the Methuen Rail Trail at approximately 1323 hours. The suspect was found stuck in the marsh at 1344 hours. He was arrested by members of the Methuen Police Department and Massachusetts State Police at 1348 hours. After his arrest, Methuen Fire responded to check on his well-being. He was then transported to the Andover State Police Barracks for booking at 1445 hours. The suspect is well-known to local law enforcement.
